Tim Horton's Iceplex is proud to host the 2nd Annual Guardian's Cup, a hockey tournament for first responders. This exciting event takes place March 7th-9th and promises a weekend filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and giving back to a worthy cause.
The Guardian's Cup goes beyond the ice. It's a mission-driven tournament that aims to raise awareness and critical funds for the New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NYLEAP). NYLEAP is dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of all law enforcement and first responders in New York State.
The inaugural Guardian's Cup in 2024 was a resounding success, generating $3,794 for NYLEAP. This year, we aim to surpass that achievement and make an even greater impact on the lives of first responders.

Supporting First Responders' Mental Wellness
New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NYLEAP), a non-profit run by experienced first responders, addresses the critical mental health challenges faced by these heroes (law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, etc.) in New York. Alarmingly, officer suicides outnumber line-of-duty deaths. NYLEAP combats this with free, confidential mental health resources and training to empower first responders, improve personal lives, and foster stronger, safer communities. HOST FACILITY
Tim Hortons Iceplex is a 176,000 square foot, participatory sports facility centrally located on the campus of Monroe Community College, in Rochester N.Y. It is home to 4 NHL sized ice rinks, including Chick-fil-A Arena, which can accommodate 1,750 spectators. The facility is home to Lattimore Physical Therapy, Lattimore Fitness, Chef's Bar & Grill, ScorZone Golf Center & Lounge and a Visit Rochester Tourism Center. REGISTRATION
- The team captain is required to enter the team through the registration button below.
- Registration fee is $1,050 per team.
- Team captain is required to pay a team fee deposit of $225 for a guaranteed spot.
- The remaining team fee balance will be due in Sports Connect no later than 30 days prior to the tournament.
- If your team is 50+ Miles from Rochester, NY, please make sure to mark yes during registration. You will see a deduction of $250 off your team fee invoice when received at a later date. Offer valid to the first ten out of town teams that register.
- Team space is limited and not guaranteed unless registration is completed.
